Scientific studies adopted by the U.S. Army show the necessity of spiritual health

In 2021, the U.S. Army implemented chaplaincy care for spiritual and mental health in its strategic readiness program. American professor and clinical psychologist Dr. Lisa Miller conducted this groundbreaking research, which was adopted as the “Chaplain’s Initiative.”

During 2023, NSCA’s efforts to implement school chaplaincy in the U.S. were met with EXTREME RESISTANCE. School chaplaincy data from 23 countries helped form “The Texas Chaplain Act,” codifying chaplains in Texas Public Schools. Many other states attempt to pass similar bills, but the RESISTANCE AND MISINFORMATION campaigns persist.

Chaplains do not represent the church; they represent God. A chaplain’s goals are very different from those of a pastor. A pastor’s goal is to get you to come to church. A chaplain has no such goal, as they represent the institution they are employed by and serve under the policies enacted by the institution itself. Chaplains provide consent-based holistic care to all people no matter their beliefs.
