With the help of our loyal supporters, the National School Chaplain Association (NSCA) spearheaded landmark legislation in Texas in 2023. As a result, school chaplaincy programs are now thriving in public schools across Texas, Florida, and Louisiana, where our dedicated chaplains are making a profound impact in an ever-growing number of schools. This historic movement has caused a ripple effect, with many more states filing similar school chaplain bills in 2025.

In the upcoming school year, Florida public schools will join other states in allowing volunteer chaplains on campus to counsel students. Now that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has signed the measure into law, even more states are expected to follow suit.
