We have attached the following assessment to determine what training level you need to qualify as a certified school chaplain according to the national standards. Every school chaplain candidate is required to complete this assessment. Please attach all requested documentation to allow the National School Chaplain Association (NSCA) to determine the level of training you need. 1. The certification path: 2. However, job opportunities with schools are posted on the NSCA work board, and the Senior Chaplain Board will work on your behalf to assist in securing employment as a school chaplain. Level 1: Supplemental training, generally CISM and Active Shooter
Level 2: Eight-week training with Oral Roberts University for $2,300.
Level 3: One school year of training with Oral Roberts University, TBA, (depends on how many classes you need to take)
